b) Measurement of the redox potential in mV
The device has a built-in mV measuring function (millivolts) that allows you to measure the redox potential (ORP) in
mV. For mV measurement, the optional ORP probe is required.
• Connect the ORP probe to the socket (1) of the measuring device. Switch the measuring instrument on.
• Press the "PH/mV" key to switch the measuring function to "mV".
• Immerse the electrode in the appropriate liquid to be measured.
• The display shows the reading for the redox potential in millivolts (mV).
• Rinse the probe thoroughly with distilled water after each use.
• Wipe the probe dry with a soft, absorbent and lint-free cloth.
• After you finish testing, always switch the measuring device off.
c) Measuring the temperature
An optional temperature sensor can be used to measure the temperature. The temperature is shown in the pH meas-
urement function in the lower display line.
• Connect the temperature sensor to the socket (10) of the meter. Switch the measuring instrument on.
• Select the measuring function "PH".
• The temperature unit can be switched by pressing the "°C/°F" key (5). The factory default is "°C".
• Immerse the sensor in the appropriate liquid.
• Leave the sensor for a while in the medium to be measured. During this time, the sensor can adapt to the tem-
perature.
• The reading for the temperature is shown in the lower display line.
If no temperature sensor is connected, the preset temperature value of the manual temperature compensa-
tion is displayed.
• After you finish testing, always switch the measuring device off.

d) Holding the measured value ("HOLD")

The current measured value can be held to obtain a longer reading time. To hold the measured value, press the
"HOLD" button.
The keystroke is signalled with a beep. The measured value and the "HOLD" symbol appear on the display.
To disable the function, press the "HOLD" button again. "HOLD" disappears from the display.
