3. Intended use

The measuring device PHT-200 enables the pH measurement of aqueous solutions in the range of pH 0 to pH 14.
The pH is a measure of the acidic or alkaline feature of an aqueous solution. The measurement is applicable to liquids
that are not subject to any voltage.
Manual or automatic temperature compensation ensures reliable readings even at different measuring temperatures.
The automatic temperature compensation is done with an optional temperature sensor.
The device can be calibrated for the measurement to compensate for wear of the electrode. For this purpose there
are two balancing controllers inside the unit with which the zero point (pH 7) and optionally the lower reference point
(pH 4) or the upper reference point (pH 10) can be set.
An additional measuring feature enables the determination of the REDOX potential in millivolts (mV, redox voltage,
ORP) with an optional REDOX probe.
In the case of redox reactions, two partner electrons are exchanged during biochemical processes. The sum of the
oxidation potential and the reduction potential of two partners is the redox potential and is given in millivolts (mV).
With the rear mounting bracket, the meter can be placed so that the display can be read well.
The meter is powered by a standard 9V block battery.
The meter is not ATEX protected. It must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres (Ex).
The product must not be used for diagnostic or other medical purposes!
The product is not designed for being used in direct contact with food. When measuring in food, take the samples that
should be discarded after the measurement!
An operation under adverse environmental conditions such as moisture, high humidity, combustible gases, vapours
or solvents is not permitted.
Only the probe may be immersed in the water to be measured. The meter itself must not be wet or damp.
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and may damage the product. Furthermore, there are dan-
gers such as short circuit, fire, electric shock etc.
The product must not be modified or reassembled!
