Fixing the Ink
After printing on polyester T-shirts, fix the ink in
a heat press or oven. This section describes only
the conditions for fixing the ink. For additional
information, see the printer manual.
The conditions required for fixing differ as shown
below according to the heat press or oven.
Use the following values as a guide. The optimum
conditions vary depending on the type of heat press or
oven, and the amount of ink.

The optimum conditions vary depending on the type of
heat press such as the manual adjustment type. Be sure
to test the ink fixing result in advance to find the right
pressure.
*2
Depending on the blend and type of cloth, images that are
larger than A4 in size or that require large amounts of ink
may need more than 30 seconds to dry. If the ink is not
dry after 30 seconds, try extending the drying time while
keeping an eye on the ink to see whether it is dry.

on the oven, test and check the ink fixing result in
advance to determine the temperature and duration.

Images that include White ink require the longest time (10
minutes).
Note:
O Elements of the pre-treatment liquid will remain
once the ink is fixed; be sure the T-shirts are washed
in water before they are worn.
O Due to the nature of this type of fabric, some ink
may be transferred to heat presses used when
fixing ink on polyester T-shirts. Clean the press as
required.
O Treating polyester T-shirts at excessively high
temperatures or for prolonged periods may cause
the ink to fade or leave traces of the press on the
shirt. Use appropriate settings when fixing ink.
O Fabric of the type used in polyester T-shirts may
change color when heat is used to fix the ink. Before
proceeding, adjust the temperature while observing
the results of the ink fixing process.
