Exhalation Valve Replacement
Remove the exhalation valve cover by pressing the 2 prongs on either side
of the centre opening and sliding the cover downwards. Remove the
exhalation valve by pulling on the edge of the valve. To replace, push the
new valve down onto the centre post of the valve seat. Replace the
exhalation cover. See Figure 40.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
These products should be stored in the packaging provided in dry, clean conditions
away from direct sunlight, sources of high temperature, petrol and solvent vapours.
Do not store outside the temperature range -30°C to +50°C or with humidity above
90%. If the product will be stored for an extended period of time before use, the
suggested storage temperature is 4°C to 35°C. When stored as stated, the expected
shelf life (prior to use) of the product is 5 years from date of manufacture. For
extended storage, the Powered Air Turbo should be run for at least 5 minutes once a
year. For long term storage the battery should be removed from the Powered Air
Turbo. Optimal storage temperature for batteries is 15°C. The expected shelf life
(prior to use) of the battery is 12 months from date of manufacture. The original
packaging is suitable for transporting the product throughout the European Union.
EQUIPMENT MARKING
The Full Facepiece is marked EN136:1998 Class 2. The TR-603E-ASB Powered Air
Turbo is marked to EN 12942. The TR-603E-ASB Powered Air Turbo is marked with
manufacturing location and date of manufacture information. The format is LYYDDD.
For example, B14112 would be manufacturing location code 'B', manufactured in
2014 on the 112th day.
The TR-603E-ASB Powered Air Turbo is marked with the following information to
1. Charge battery
2. Battery not correctly installed.
Remove and reinstall battery.
3. Battery has exceeded service life.
Install a new, fully charged battery.
4. Battery pack has exceeded operating
temperature of 54°C Remove to cooler
location.
5. Contaminant on battery contacts.
Ensure battery contacts are clean.
1. Hose blocked. Clear/replace hose.
2. Filter covered. Clear obstruction.
3. Filters blocked. Replace filters and
pre-filter/spark arrestor if used.
4. Temperature has exceeded operating
range. Remove to cooler location.

The high capacity battery for use with the Powered Air Turbo is marked to EN 12941
and EN12942.
The batteries are marked with a date of manufacture and cell type (year/week/cell
type) e.g. 09/10/1 for 2009, week 10, cell type 1.
