3.8 Checking drive belt

Check on a daily basis drive belts condition and the tension on drive belts (1).

Unscrew the 4 bolts (2) of the belt guard (1), removing the belt guard's clips (3) and the belt
guard itself.
Inspect belts for wear of side edges and cracks. If belts are damaged, then they should be
replaced.
Using belt tension gauge, check the tensile load of the compressor belts.
The tensile loads of belts are given in the table for various models. Set the belt guard into
place, tighten the bolts and replace the clips which were removed.
