Notes
• The AUTO REPEAT
function does not work in
the fast-forward, rewind,
picture search, slow or
recording mode.
• When you press · PLAY
near the end of the
recorded portion, the
AUTO REPEAT function
may not work. In this case,
rewind the tape a little and
press · PLAY again.
• If the SEQ. PLAY switch is
set to ON during repeat
play, the VCR plays the
recorded portion, rewinds
to the beginning of the tape,
and then stops.
With this VCR, you can play a desired portion of a tape repeatedly. The
VCR plays from the beginning of the tape to the end of the recorded
portion.
Before you start...
• Check that the SEQ. PLAY indicator is not lit. If it is lit, set the SEQ.
PLAY switch to OFF.
p STOP
Auto-repeat play
· PLAY
1 Set the AUTO REPEAT ON/OFF switch on the VCR to ON.
The AUTO REPEAT indicator lights up on the VCR.
2 Insert a tape.
3 Rewind the tape to the beginning.
4 Press · PLAY.
After playing only the recorded portion, the VCR rewinds the tape to
the beginning and plays the same portion repeatedly.
To stop playing
Press p STOP.
Tape conditions for auto-repeat play
To use the auto-repeat play function, the tape must meet the following
conditions:
• The blank portion at the beginning of the tape must be less than 25
seconds.
• There must be a blank portion of more than 5 seconds just after the
· PLAY
end of the recorded portion. If not, the VCR may continue to play the
next recorded portion or play to the end of the tape.
p STOP

To make a blank portion on a recorded tape
After recording, press p STOP and then press · PLAY for a few
seconds.
To cancel auto-repeat play
Set the AUTO REPEAT ON/OFF switch to OFF.
