Intended Use

This digital glass scale is intended exclusively for use
• as a personal weighing scale
• in a domestic environment.

Operating instructions
Before using the appliance for the first time, check
to ensure that the items are complete and undamaged.
Remove all packaging materials and any
protectives films that may be on the appliance.

Taking the scale into use

1. Open the battery compartment
cover in the direction of the arrow and then
removing it. Remove the insulating tape from the
battery compartment
per its polarity into the battery compartment
2. Slide the cover back on to the battery com-
partment

until it firmly engages.
3. Set the desired unit of weight (kg or lb) by
pressing the selector switch
• Place the scale on a flat and firm surface.
Ensure that neither the floor at the location of the
scale nor the upper surface of the scale are wet,
otherwise there is a risk of slipping!
Notice:
This glass scale contains sensitive electronic components
and it should therefore NOT be located:
• close to sources of heat
• in environments with extreme air humidity.

Weighing

Important!
NEVER burden the scale one-sidedly. ALWAYS step
onto the scale in the middle and with both feet.
Otherwise, the scale could tip and become irreparably
damaged. Additionally, there is the risk of falling over!
Important!
Never use the scale if it is wet or moist. Never step
onto the scale with wet or moist feet. There would
be a serious risk of slipping and personal injury!
