general Description

The SWB series digital water baths are available in
6L, 15L and 24L options. They have a one-piece
stainless steel construction for ease of maintenance
and cleaning. In addition to this, a drain tap aids
removal of the bath water. For safety, all baths have
a water level sensor to prevent the bath running dry.
Temperature is maintained by a PRT temperature
sensor and there is an over-temperature cut out for
added safety. To avoid evaporation and improve
temperature control, clear polycarbonate covers are
included with the baths.

Operation

Setting up
Note: To ensure correct operation, prior to use
you should clean the level sensor with a mild
solvent, such as Isopropyl alcohol.
Position the apparatus on a firm level surface and
insert the mains lead into the socket on the rear
of the unit. Connect to the mains electricity
supply.
Fill with water to a level above the low water
level sensor inside the bath. It is advisable to use
distilled or deionised water with neutral pH to
avoid scale formation. Ultra pure deionised or RO
water with a resistivity >1Mohm should not be
used, as this can leach the iron from the stainless
steel and lead to corrosion.
Periodically top up with water to maintain the
desired level.

When connected to the mains electricity supply
the LED display will illuminate and show the word
OFF.
Switch the unit on by pressing the "Power On/
Off" knob. The display will momentarily show the
set temperature followed by the actual water
temperature in degrees Celsius.
Press and hold the "Press to set" button. The
display will show the set temperature. The set
temperature may be adjusted by turning the
"Temperature adjustment" knob whilst
continuing to hold in the "Press to set" button.
When the desired setting is displayed release the
"Press to set" button. The display will revert to
show the actual water temperature and the bath
will begin to heat.
