Operational troubleshooting

Problem
Converter will not start.
Converter is turned "On"
but does not produce
paper.
(*) Contact your Ranpak Distributor Service Technician if the problem has not been solved

Cause
1. On/Off switch is in "Off" position.
2. Power plug is defective.
3. Fuse is defective (blown).
4. Electrical cords are damaged.
5. Poor / defective connection..
1. Feed motor cable is not plugged into
bottom of the converter.
2. Paper is torn on perforation.
3. Paper jam in the paddle wheels.
Cause
1. Cutter unit not powered.
1. Top cover removed.
1. No error – cutter unit ready.
1. Cut jam.
OR
2. Cut blade not in place at powerup
1. Feed jam.
Solution
1. Set the switch to the "On" position.
2. Contact your Ranpak Distributor Service Technician
for service.
3. Contact your Ranpak Distributor Service Technician
for service.
4. Contact your Ranpak Distributor Service Technician
for service.
5. Check if the light on the main switch is lit and all
electrical connections are made (*).
1. Plug in and secure feed motor cable.
2. Reload paper.
3. Remove paper jam (*):
- Turn the main switch OFF
- Remove the plug from the wall socket
- Open the cover
- Remove paper jam by manually clearing excess
paper
- Close top cover
- Plug the power plug into the wall socket
- Turn the main switch ON
- The converter is ready for use
Solution
1. Verify cable from cutter unit is plugged in and
secured to the power supply.
2. Plug in power supply.
3. Turn ON power supply switch.
4. Power supply "Rev 12/08" not used..
1. Replace and secure top cover.

1. Push "Reset" button.
1. Verify cable from feed motor is plugged in and
secured to the cutter unit bottom connector.
2. Clear feed jam. See "Adjusting for different paper
weights" (Section 5.5).
