5.4.3 Clearing a cut or feed jam
To clear a cut or feed jam (indicated by a red light on the
control panel), use the following steps:
1. Pull paper from chute until all slack is removed.
2. Press the foot switch to reset the cutting blade and
continue operation. Red lamp should no longer be
illuminated. If jam persists, see the following steps.
3. Remove the power plug from the wall socket and turn
the main switch "OFF" or "O".
4. Remove top cover by lifting the tabs on both sides.

5. Remove any jammed paper from the wheels.
6. Rotate wheels until paper lays flat between the plastic
ties.
7. Replace the top cover. Be sure the interlocking switch
is aligned to close the cover properly.
8. Plug the power plug into the wall socket and set the
main switch "ON" or "I". The converter is ready for use.
If operating in EDS mode, restart EDS
i
mode by tapping the foot switch after
clearing the jam.
