N. Traction Assist Switch
Transfers weight between decks and tractor.
Depress front of switch to reduce down
pressure on decks and transfer weight to
tractor. Reducing down pressure improves
traction but may cause decks to float causing an
uneven cut.
To increase down pressure on decks let go of
switch. This reduces traction but improves
deck contact with ground.
O. Low Oil Level Switch
This switch is used to test the alarm system or
disable the alarm after a low oil level has been
detected. Keep switch in its ON position when
starting and operating tractor. To test alarm, set switch
to OFF and turn ignition key to RUN. See Section 3.4.
P. Mower Lift lever
The mower lever raises and lowers the mowers and
operates in either automatic or manual mode. Push
lever forward to lower mowers, pull back to raise
mowers.
Manual Mode -Set mow switch (Q) in its OFF (center)
position. In this position the mowers will raise or lower
as pressure is applied to the control lever. To raise or
lower the center mower, keep the control lever in the
center position. To raise or lower the left or right wing
mower, move the control lever to the desired side.

Automatic Mode - Set mow switch (Q) to mow position.
In automatic mode the mowers will start automatically
when they are lowered. In this mode mowers will only
raise to a "crosscut" position. To raise or lower all three
mowers, keep the control lever in the center position. To
raise or lower the left or right wing mower, move the
control lever to the desired side.
To raise mowers to their transport position, hold lever
until mowers are fully raised.
Q. Mower Switch
The mower switch is used to engage or disengage the
mowers. It also sets the mower lever (P) in manual or
automatic mode. Set mower switch in its OFF position
when starting the tractor.
To mow, push locking tab (Q
switch to the mow position. With the switch in
this position, mowers will start automatically
when they are lowered and stop when they are raised.
Return switch to its center position to disable mowers.
If tractor is shut off with mowers in the cutting position,
when tractor is re-started, mowers are started by
turning mower switch on, and momentarily pushing
mower lift lever forward.
R. 2 WD / 4 WD Switch
Sets tractor into two or four wheel drive.
S. Lights (Option)
Controls operation of work lights.
