Commissioning

Important notes

Commissioning
For commissioning the regenerative module, no settings or parameterisations are required.
All required information is detected automatically by the regenerative module and internal
settings are adapted e. g. voltage, frequency and direction of rotation of the mains.
The regenerative power is distributed automatically across several regenerative modules.
When the device is installed properly, the drive system may be switched on.
Process and options after switch-on:
The open and closed-loop control unit of the regenerative module is supplied by the DC
voltage (at the input side) or by the AC voltage (at the output side). After exceeding
≥ 250 V
or ≥ 180 V
the open and closed-loop control unit will be ready for operation
dc
ac
within 1 s.
The status LED shows the operating status by means of colours and/or with flash codes.
If the DC voltage (at the input side) exceeds the relevant DC voltage, the feedback to the
AC system (at the output side) starts automatically.
A HIGH signal at X3/DI1 serves to disable the regenerative feedback mode.
During operation, the AC system is monitored:
Mains frequency outside the range of 45 ... 65 Hz
Mains frequency change higher than 1 Hz/s
Sinusoidal shape is strongly distorted
The LED status display "warning - flash code 1" is activated if at least one condition has been
recognised.
Important notes
WARNING!
Incorrect wiring can cause unexpected states during the commissioning phase.
Possible consequence: death, severe injuries or damage to property
Check the following before switching on the mains voltage:
▶ Is the wiring complete and correct?
▶ Are there no short circuits and earth faults?
▶ Does the "emergency stop" function of the entire plant operate correctly?
NOTICE
Incorrect wiring can cause unexpected states.
Possible consequence: No function
To protect the device, a polarity reversal protection is integrated for +UG/-UG.
If the terminals +UG/-UG are polarity-reversed, no regenerative feedback mode is possible.
▶ Check before initial switch-on after changing the installation.
Only under proper conditions, the regenerative module can feed back energy
from the DC‑bus into the AC‑system.
If the drives need to be braked in the system when the AC‑system is disturbed,
additional measures have to be taken:
‑ install a brake chopper/brake resistor in addition
‑ install mechanical brakes
