5. Screw the support ring Z20 to the valve
spindle Z6 until it is hand tight.
Where necessary, wet the
thread of the valve spindle
Z6 with suitable thread
locking compound (e.g.
WEICONLOCK AN 301-65).

6. Position a WAF 16 open-end wrench on
the regulating cone Z3. Simultaneously,
position a WAF 8 open-end wrench
on the wrench surface of the valve
spindle Z6. By counterholding both
open-end wrenches, carefully bolt the
support ring Z20 with the regulating
cone Z3 to the valve spindle Z6
(tightening torque: 7-9 Nm).

7. Place the distance piece Z11 on the
valve body Z1.
8. Screw the washers Z17b and the cap
nuts Z18b onto the stud bolts Z16b until
they are hand tight.
9. Tighten the cap nuts Z18b diagonally
(tightening torque: 16-20 Nm).

11.4.1 Removing the plug diaphragm
1. Remove the support ring Z20 and the
regulating cone Z3 (see chapter 11.3.1
"Removing the regulating cone").
2. Remove the plug diaphragm Z2 from the
valve spindle Z6.

3. Clean all parts of remains of product and
contaminants. Do not scratch or damage
parts during cleaning!
4. Check all parts for potential damage.
5. Replace damaged parts (only use
genuine parts from GEMÜ).

11.4.2 Fitting the plug diaphragm

1. Place the plug diaphragm Z2 on the
valve spindle Z6.
Where necessary, wet the
thread of the valve spindle Z6
with suitable thread locking
compound (e.g. WEICONLOCK
AN 301-65).

2. Fit the support ring Z20 and the
regulating cone Z3 (see chapter 11.3.2
