Danger of electric shock, fire through short-circuit
A shortcircuit could be caused through defect cables and through humidity or
moisture. A shortcircuit can heat up the conductors, so that their isolation or
even the cables themselves might melt. This could lead to fire.
■ Please just use the original cables, which are included in delivery. They are
suitable for your device and guarantee the necessary safety for you and your
device.
■ Don´t operate the device with wet hands or feet.
■ Operate the device only in dry rooms.
■ Don´t operate the device outdoors.
■ For cleaning your device, please only follow this instruction manual.
■ Make sure that cables and conductors won´t be damaged. Damages could
be caused through heat, impact, chemical influence or through mechanical
impacts as rubbing, bending, tearing, rolling over or nibbling animals.
■ Prevent your device from dropping. In case of a fall, please let an electrician
check the device before switching it on again.
■ If your device should be damaged or defect or if you notice a burning smell:
Disconnect the power supply by pulling out the power cord or taking off the
battery. Never operate your device with damaged housing, a malfunction or
a damaged power supply. Don´t open the device. Never repair the device on
your own. The device should only be repaired by electricians.
■ Should the equipment be damaged or defective, or if you notice a burning
smell: Immediately cut off the power supply by removing the battery or by re
moving the mains plug from the socket. Have the device checked by a skilled
electrician before you switch it on again. Do not operate the equipment with
damaged housing.

Keep the device out of the reach of children and pets.
NOTE
Do not place down the device with the display screen facing downwards.

Precautions when using with rechargeable battery
Batteries can leak or explode if inappropriately handled. Please observe the follo
wing safety notes when handling the rechargeable battery for use with this unit:
■ Use only rechargeable batteries mentioned in these operating instructions.
■ Do not put the rechargeable battery into fire or expose these to direct heat.
■ To prevent the product from being damaged make sure you have removed
the rechargeable battery if you will not use the product over a longer period
of time or if the rechargeable battery has been discharged.
■ If battery fluid has come into contact with skin or clothes, flush it off immedia
tely with fresh water.
■ Do not recharge the rechargeable battery unattended.
■ Once the reacharging process is finished, disconnect the charger from the
power supply.
3. Unpacking and checking the device
3.1 Unpack the products, please see 9. Scope of delivery, page 34.
3.2 Check the contents immediately upon receipt to ensure nothing is missing.
3.3 Check to make sure that none of the items is damaged.
