Checking for wear

Proceed as follows to make sure loadbearing nut wear
is discovered in good time:
1. Remove the securing strap until the loadbearing nut
in the lifting carriage is visible.
2. Use the appropriate lever to press the lifting carriage
upwards and hold in this position.
3. Place the test nut on the spindle and turn anti-
clockwise until it is resting on the loadbearing nut.
4. Lower the lifting carriage again.
5. Use a feeler gauge or vernier caliper to measure the
gap produced between the loadbearing nut and the
test nut.

The loadbearing nut has to be replaced if the
clearance is more than 1 mm.

Applicability VLE 2130 E
On nut replacement, make sure the distance between
the bottom edge of the lifting carriage and the bottom
edge of the safety nut is 30+1 mm.

Applicability VLE 2130, VLE 2130 F, VLE 2130 EL,
VLE 2140 EL
On these lifting platforms the safety nut is fitted flush
in the lifting carriage. On nut replacement, make sure
the distance between the bottom edge of the lifting
carriage and the bottom edge of the safety nut is
0+3 mm.
