Emergency lowering

The emergency lowering procedure described
below is only to be performed by authorised and
appropriately qualified personnel. A second person
should observe the lifting platform area from outside
the hazard zone to ensure the safety of personnel
and materials. Movement must be stopped
immediately in the event of imminent danger. The
danger must be eliminated before movement is
resumed.

Only a single downward movement is permissible.
The loadbearing element must not make contact
with the ground when doing so.
!
Emergency lowering is to be terminated once the
loadbearing elements have reached the required
lower position. The lifting platform is not to be
operated again until all faults have been rectified by
authorised personnel.

9.1 Emergency lowering by hand
Emergency lowering by hand is to be performed in the
event of failure of other elements.

Make sure the two lifting carriages are lowered
synchronously, as otherwise the vehicle could fall off
the lifting platform.
9.1.1 VLE 2130 and VLE 2130 F

1. Set the master switch to "O" (lifting platform
de-energised).
2. Turn the large V-belt pulley.
9.1.2 VLE 2130 EL and VLE 2140 EL

1. Set the master switch to "O" (lifting platform
de-energised).
2. Synchronously turn the large ribbed belt pulleys at
the main column and secondary column.
