DESCRIPTION OF THE ASA 80
Effective and cost-saving treatment of oil-containing,
emulsion-loaded waste water which results from
automatic floor cleaners and parts cleaning machines.
CAUTION!
The unit is intended for water conditioning of recycling
water which, in accordance with the WHG
(Wasserhaushaltsgesetz, Water Resources Act,
[Germany]), should not be fed into the sewage
system.
Not suitable for the cleaning of solvents (cold
cleaners) of a greater concentration than 20 %!
May not be filled with waste water whose temperature
exceeds 35 °C (equipment failure as a result of impact
on materials).
1. FUNCTIONING PRINCIPLE
The emulsion-loaded waste water resulting from cleaning
floors or parts cleaning is poured into the reaction
container of the ASA 80 or pumped into the ASA 80.
As a result of a new docking system, the drain hose of
the floor-cleaning device can be connected directly to
the three-way valve of the ASA 80.
IMPORTANT!
Before the docking system can be used, the drain hose
on the floor cleaning unit must be removed and replaced
with another hose. The order number of the new hose
can be found in the following list.
Floor cleaner
BR/BD 530
BR/BD 550
BR/BD 700
BR/BD 750
BR/BD Trike
BR/BD 55/60 W
On some floor cleaning units the holder for the drain
hose must also be replaced:
BR/BD 550
BR/BD Trike
The valve is to be opened towards the drain hose
(marking on the valve). In order to fill the ASA 80,
the existing filling hose must be attached to the opening
of the reaction container. As a result of operating the
pump switch, the dirty water is pumped directly into the
reaction container.
CAUTION!
Do not fill beyond the level indicator (risk of short
circuit).

The agitator is switched on by operation of the main
switch
When the suitable separating agent (RM 345 or RM 846)
has been decided upon, addition is then made of one of
the 2-litre quantities of 15-30 % RM 345 ASF solution or
the corresponding quantity in RM 846 ASF to suit the
contamination of the water (see Chapter 4 "Concentration
and use of special separating agent RM 345 or RM 846
ASF").
