1 Safety
▶ Observe all applicable dir-
ectives, standards, laws and
other regulations.
Applicability: For Great Bri-
tain, only for products without
the Benchmark marking
The competent person must
be approved at the time by the
"Health and Safety Executive".
1.2.2 Risk of death from
electric shock
There is a risk of death from
electric shock if you touch live
components.
Before commencing work on
the product:
▶ Unplug the mains plug.
▶ Or disconnect the product
from the power supply by
switching off all power sup-
plies (electrical partition with a
contact gap of at least 3 mm,
e.g. fuse or circuit breaker).
▶ Secure against being
switched back on again.
▶ Wait for at least 3 minutes
until the capacitors have dis-
charged.
▶ Check that there is no
voltage.
1.2.3 Danger due to error
functions
▶ Install the product in such a
way that it is not covered by

furniture, curtains or other
objects.
▶ Install the product outside
of draught areas (e.g. fans,
ventilation systems, win-
dows).
▶ Point out to the end user that
the product will have to be
replaced after eight years.
1.2.4 Risk of material damage
caused by using an
unsuitable tool
▶ Use the correct tool to tighten
or loosen threaded connec-
tions.

▶ Observe the national regula-
tions, standards, guidelines
