FILLING THE MAGAZINE
Only those fasteners specifi ed under technical data
(see 1.1) may be used.
When fi lling the magazine, hold the tool so that the
muzzle is not pointing towards own body or towards
any other person.
Do not load the tool with fasteners with the safety
yoke or trigger depressed.
Pull pusher back until it has reached the point where
there is noticeable resistance and it catches. Introduce
2 nail strips into the magazine, unlock pusher and lead
it against the nail strip. Make sure that the nail strips
lie correctly in the magazine and that the pusher nose
reaches over the head of the last nail. Never should
the pusher be allowed to snap forward in a magazine
which is half or totally empty. Always guide it by hand
up to the nail strip or stop.
5
FIL PENETRATION DEPTH SETTING
The penetration depth of the nail head can be
controlled by means of the air pressure. If this is not
satisfactory, the penetration setting offers a more
accurate adjustment of the penetration depth.
The penetration depth setting can be moved by one
or more notches by loosening the screw (n) and the
safety yoke (a). For safety reasons, this should only
be carried out in a depressurised state. Therefore
disconnect the tool from the supply hose.
Retighten the screw.

TROUBLES AND REMEDIES
Disconnect nailer from hose before servicing. When connecting the tool, it must contain no fasteners.
TROUBLE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Air leaking from exhaust
O-rings (e, g, h) damaged or dirty
port.
Blow does not take place.
Control parts move with diffi culty
after long term storage.
Driver is jammed by a fastener.
Idle impact or nails are not
Tool exhausts considerably in the
fully driven in.
lowest position of the piston, O-rings
(e, g, i), bumper (u, v), cylinder ring (j)
worn or damaged. No backstroke.
Nosepiece defective.
Tool without suffi cient lubrication.
Air pressure too low.
Tool jumps.
Connection hose too long. Diameter
reduced in the air line or in the
maintenance unit (fall of pressure).
Piston completely (r) damaged.
Tip of driver worn.
Penetration setting wrongly adjusted.
Nailer operates too slowly.
Safety yoke (a, b) sluggish.
Control parts frozen-up.
Release valve (w) damaged.
During repair replacement of parts the special grease (code no. 68 3868) must be applied to the surface of
the cylinder and the counter surfaces of the O-rings.
5
REMEDY
Clean or replace parts.
Increase air pressure and make some
trial blows. Then reduce air pressure
immediatel .
Open guide fl ap (k). Using a punch or
similar tool knock back the driver and
remove the obstruction in the drive
channel.
Replace damaged parts.
Have tool checked at service station.
Clean the interior pieces, grease the
counter surfaces of the O-rings and
the surface of the cylinder. Check the
lubricator.
Adjust to correct air pressure (min. 5
bar / 0,5 MPa).
Press tool more fi rmly onto the
workpiece.
Investigate and correct trouble.
Replace piston. At the same time
check bumper (u, v) for wear.
Re-grind the face of the driver tip
such that it is square to its axis.
Set correctly according (see 5).
Eliminate the jamming cause.
Check operation of water separator.
Have tool checked by service
workshop.
