Prior to installation

This GROHE fitting is for use with unpressurised storage
heaters ( = displacement water heaters).
The maximum hot water temperature of the storage
heater is 80 °C.
The maximum operating pressure of the fitting is 10 bar.
It is recommendable to install a pressure-reducing valve
in the case of a cold water flow pressure exceeding 5 bar.
The fitting is provided with a flow regulating
valve to protect the storage heater from excess
pressure.
In the case of new installations, flush the cold
water lines thoroughly until the water is
completely free of contamination before and
after installation. Otherwise any residues
remaining in the lines may block the fitting and
contaminate the drinking water.
Make sure that you do not damage the fitting
surfaces with the tool during installation. For this
reason, always use toothed pliers.

Installation on the worktop: Push O-ring A onto the

fitting. Insert the fitting through the hole in worktop B.
Fit sealing washer C and mounting set D from below.
Fasten the fitting using nut E.
Installation on the sink: Push O-ring A onto the

fitting. Insert the fitting through the hole in sink F.
Fit support plate G, sealing washer C and mounting
set D from below. Fasten the fitting using nut E.
Ensure that you do not bend or twist the fitting

pressure hoses.

To protect the storage heater from excess pressure
you must install the flow regulating valve H1 provided.
Screw the pressure hose marked blue H to the
service valve. Screw the pressure hose marked blue I
to the storage heater inlet connection. Screw the
pressure hose marked red J to the storage heater
inlet connection.
Filling the storage heater: Open the service valve
and move the lever to the hot water position. Open
the lever and wait wait until the water flows out of the
spout.
Now switch on the device.
Operate the fitting as shown.

Important:
The volume of water in the storage heater will
expand as it is heated. Expansion water must
drip from the fitting spout.
This process is necessary and normal.
Do not be fit any downstream resistances such as
mousseurs or restrictors as these will damage the
storage heater.

This fitting is equipped with a flow rate limiter, permitting
an infinitely variable individual reduction in flow rate.
The highest possible flow rate is set at the factory before
despatch.
Lever out the plug K. Remove the set screw L using

a 3mm allen key and remove the lever M. Remove the
cap N.
Change the flow rate by turning the adjusting screw

using a 2.5mm allen key.

Fault: Flow rate noticeably reduced or changed spray
pattern
1. Insufficient supply pressure:
Check the upstream installation.
2. Flow straightener (46 162/46 163) blocked/dirty:
Clean or replace the flow straightener.
3. 33 935: Flow regulating valve (46 324) blocked / dirty:
Clean or replace the flow regulating valve.
Fault: Fitting housing leaking
1. 30 197: Cartridge (46 558) screw coupling (46 759)
loose: Tighten the cartridge screw coupling.
33 935: Cartridge (46 409) screws loose: Tighten the
cartridge screws alternately.
2. Seals at cartridge base damaged or dirt particles on
sealing surfaces:
Close the cold and water supply! Check and clean
sealing surfaces, or replace cartridge completely.
3. Impermissible operating conditions such as hot water
temperature above 80 °C, pressure surges in
upstream installation:
Ensure that the operating conditions are in order.
Replace cartridge completely if necessary.
Please contact your installer in the event of faults not
described here.

when disposing of the fitting.
