To do so, check the direction of rotation indicator light while the plug is con-
nected: if the control lamp is lit, you must change the direction of rotation as
described below.
CAUTION: If the light is lit,
the direction of rotation for
the NAUTILUS 8/1 is incorrect.
If the direction of rotation is
incorrect, you must switch
2 phases on the power supply.
To do so, make sure the mains
plug is disconnected, and use
a screwdriver to rotate the
round retainer plate on the
plug pins through 180°.
You can also check the direction of rotation by observing the direction
the pump motor starts to move in when switched on: To do so, position the
NAUTILUS 8/1 vertically on a firm base; switch on the pump and then immedia-
tely switch off. The startup movement should be in the direction marked on the
pump cover (counter-clockwise).
6. Maintenance and repairs
CAUTION: Before starting maintenance or repair work, always discon-
nect the electric cable from the power supply to avoid inadvertent
enabling of the pump. Before starting work, make sure that all rotating
parts are stationary.
6.1. Maintenance
After operation, we recommend that you remove the NAUTILUS 8/1 from the
pumped medium and flush the pump with fresh water.
If there is a danger of frost, allow the pump to run dry for about 10 seconds
after removing from the medium in order to avoid the impeller freezing solid.
If the impeller is frozen, you can release it by immersing in water.
After operation always perform a visual check to ensure water tightness of the
cable and cable grommet and identify any damage.
