3. Type
The NAUTILUS 8/1 is effective as a single stage centrifugal pump and directly
driven by the electric motor. The pump can be operated in upright or horizontal
position and completely immersed. All live parts of the pump are water tight (IP
68); the CEE connector with motor protection/on/off switch at the cable end is
splash water protected (IP 44).

The motor is an asynchronous three-phase motor.
3.2. Motor protection
The NAUTILUS 8/1 is equipped with an automatic motor protection facility that
switches off the pump in case of overload. After remedying the malfunction,
the NAUTILUS 8/1 does not automatically restart for safety reasons; instead
you must use the motor protection/on/off switch to restart.
3.3. Integrated deep drafting device
Deep drafting is possible down to a depth of approx. 8 mm at full
pump power with the NAUTILUS 8/1. And there is no need to manipulate the
NAUTILUS 8/1 for this: You don't need to remove the suction screen, or fit an
additional sleeve, or anything similar.
