Calibration of the Concentration Measurement
Calibration coefficient K
Every time the installation (e.g. the transducer distance) is changed even slightly, the measurement has to be calibrated
again.
• Activate storing of the measured values (see section 1.7).
• Start the measurement (see section 1.8).
• Wait until the flow transducers are thermally stable.
• Use key
and
during the measurement to display the temperature, the sound speed c
Write down the values.
• Compare the measured concentration with the current concentration in the pipe (laboratory value).
• Define the calibration coefficient K
- Open the concentration curve of the medium in the program FluxKoef.
- Enter the medium temperature (1).
- Move the cursor (2) on the curve to the concentration value supplied by the laboratory. The exact value is displayed
above the curve (3). Zoom into the curve, if necessary.
- The corresponding sound speed c
- Define the calibration coefficient: K
Example
measured values:
concentration: 5.81 %
temperature: 24 °C
sound speed c
: 1635 m/s
m
concentration from the laboratory: 5.34 %
For a concentration of 5.34 % and a temperature of 24 °C, the sound speed c
(see Abb. 1.1).
