Operation

Warning
Never operate device with empty fuel tank
The fuel pump will otherwise be destroyed.
Safety instructions
Only HDS Super M / MX Eco
Danger
Long hours of using the appliance can
cause circulation problems in the hands on
account of vibrations.
It is not possible to specify a generally valid
operation time, since this depends on sev-
eral factors:
– Proneness to blood circulation deficien-
cies (cold, numb fingers).
– Low ambient temperature. Wear warm
gloves to protect hands.
– A firm grip impedes blood circulation.
– Continuous operation is worse than an
operation interrupted by pauses.
In case of regular, long-term operation of
the device and in case of repeated occur-
rence of the symptoms (e.g. cold, numb fin-
gers) please consult a physician.
Turning on the Appliance

Î Set the appliance switch to "I".
Indicator lamp for operational readiness
lights up.
Note
The temperature regulator must be at "0"
position because otherwise the burner will
switch off.
The device starts briefly and turns off, as
soon as the working pressure is reached.
Note
If the control lamps fuel, liquid softener or
motor light up, please switch the appliance
off immediately and fix the error, see "Help
with errors".

Î Release the hand spray gun (A).
When activating the hand spray gun the de-
vice switches back on.

Note
If no water exits from the high pressure
nozzle, ventilate the pump. See help with
errors "Device does not build up pressure".
Adjust cleaning temperature.

Î Set temperature regulator to desired
temperature.
30 °C to 90 °C
– Clean with hot water.
100 °C to 150 °C
– Clean using steam.
Î Replace the high-pressure nozzle with
steam nozzle (refer "Using steam").
Set working pressure and flow rate

Î Turn the regulation spindle in a clock-
wise direction: Increase working pres-
sure (MAX).
Î Turn the regulation spindle in an anti-
clockwise direction: Reduce working
pressure (MIN).
Servo pressure regulation
Î Set thermostat to max. 98 °C.
Î Set the operating pressure on the appli-
ance to the maximum value.

Note
For long term work with low pressure, set
pressure at device.
Operation with detergent
– For considerate treatment of the envi-
ronment use detergent economically.
– The detergent must be suitable for the
surface to be cleaned.
