After making coffee / cappuccino turn off the machine using the ON/OFF button.
All lights turn off.
After that, pull the power plug from the socket.
Return the portafilter handle to the left and carefully pull the portafilter out of the
brewing head. CAUTION: Portafilter, filter insert and especially the coffee

dregs mixed with hot water are very hot! Be very careful during removal,
you could scald yourself!
Turn the portafilter 180 ° degrees and knock the coffee dregs out of the filter
insert. Please dispose of the coffee dregs in the household waste and do not pour
them down the drain, as this might clog up the wastewater pipes.
Carefully rinse the filter insert and the portafilter under running water. Dry both
parts with a paper towel.
Check regularly if the drip tray is full and has to be emptied to avoid overflowing
and damaging the base of the machine.

To save energy, the Solis Barista Gran Gusto espresso machine will automatically
shut down when it is not used or operated for approx. 15 minutes or longer.
To reactivate the appliance, simply press the ON / OFF button.

You can also use the steam / hot water control (I) to prepare hot beverages (e.g. tea)
by pouring hot water out the steam / hot water outlet.
Proceed as following:
Fill the water tank with fresh water. The MAX marking should not be exceeded.
Plug the main plug into a power outlet.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the machine.
As soon as the machine is turned on using this button all the buttonframes
light up blue for one second while the machine is pumping water. Afterwards
the ON/OFF button and steam mode button stay lit, while the buttonframes of
"automatic mode" and "manual mode" keep blinking as long as the machine
is preheating. When the correct temperature is reached these buttons will also
constantly light up blue. The machine is now ready for use and you can use the
hot water function.
Put a container underneath the steam / hot water outlet.
Turn on the steam / hot water control counterclockwise completely. Hot water
pours through the steam / hot water outlet into the container.
To stop the hot water from pouring out turn the steam / hot water control off
again.
NOTE: The hot water function will stop automatically after 30 seconds. Turn the
steam / hot water control off and wait for a short period of time in order to use the
function again.
CAUTION: Never touch the hot surfaces of the espresso machine especially the one
of the steam / hot water outlet during and after the hot water function. You could
scald yourself!
