6.4 BLC

The backlight compensation (BLC) is used to illuminate objects which
are to be monitored in the backlight and which would appear too dark
or low in contrast with the brightness control.
BLC deactivated
OFF
high backlight compensation (amplification up to 42 dB)
HIGH
MIDDLE
average backlight compensation (amplification up to 30 dB)
low backlight compensation (amplification up to 18 dB)
LOW

6.5 AGC

With poor lighting, the video signal will be amplified accordingly when
the automatic gain control (AGC) has been activated. If the AGC has
been activated, adjust the rate of amplification in the submenu via the
value BRIGHTNESS. A high amplification will increase the brightness of
the image, but will also cause a higher image noise.
AGC deactivated (fixed amplification: 6 dB)
OFF
wide control range (6 – 42 dB)
HIGH↵
MIDDLE↵ average control range (6 – 30 dB)
narrow control range (6 – 18 dB)
LOW↵

6.6 DNR

The digital noise reduction (DNR) will reduce the noise which will in-
crease with poor lighting and high amplification. However, when the
digital noise reduction is increased, the ghost image effect will also be
increased.
DNR deactivated
OFF
high noise reduction
HIGH
average nose reduction
MIDDLE
low noise reduction
LOW
Note: The DNR function will not be available (indication – – – ) if the AGC has been
deactivated (chapter 6.5).
