6.3 WHITE BAL.

The white balance is used to adapt the camera to the colour tempera-
ture of different light sources.
Colour temperature of different light sources:
Incandescent lamp
Fluorescent lamp
Sunlight
Daylight with a clear blue sky
ATW↵
AWC↵
MANUAL↵ manual white balance;

starting from the setting
repeatedly until the desired factor is selected – however, a
higher factor will reduce the sampling rate accordingly
automatic adaptation with varying lighting in the colour tem-
perature range 1800 – 10 500 K (e. g. for daylight or when
using special light sources such as sodium vapour lamps)
in the submenu, two modes will be available:
OUTDOOR and INDOOR
Note: In the following situations, the mode ATW may fail to function in
an optimum way:
1. if the area surrounding the object to be monitored has a very high
colour temperature (e.g. clear sky, sunset),
2. if the area surrounding the object to be monitored is dark,
3. if the camera is directly turned towards a fluorescent lamp or if
there are extreme light fluctuations.
In this case, select the mode AWC.
semiautomatic white balance: In the zone of application,
hold a sheet of paper in front of the lens and press the but-
ton SET; the camera will perform a white balance adapted
to the current lighting conditions. If the lightings conditions
change, repeat the white balance.
In the submenu, the proportions of RED and BLUE will be
adjusted separately.
