Installation and Start-up

2.1

Delivery Information

2.1.1 Unpacking and Checking Completeness

•
The Mikro-Dismembrator U is delivered after a thorough
functional test.
Should, nevertheless, some part of the delivery be
missing or show any damage, these hints help you to
settle your claims.
1. After receipt carefully remove the device and the
accessories from their package. Check whether the
equipment and of the set of accessories is complete,
according to your order. Carefully check all parts for
damages caused by transport.
Verify that the shaker has the correct power ratings for
the mains supply. If the shaker is not designed for your
mains supply, it must not be connected to it and
enabled.
Connected loads are:

Never start operation of a unit, which has wrong power
ratings.
For different power supplies which need to be ordered
seperately, the necessary installations will be installed
and tested in the factory.
2. After installation at the working place and assembly and
connection of all parts, prepare and enable operation as
shown in section 3. Check functioning of the device
using all possible operation modes. In case of a wrong
power version, of malfunctioning of the unit or if parts
are damaged or are missing you immediately should
return your claim note to your dealer, or to your
representative of Sartorius AG.

Transit damages should be reported to the respective
carrier, railway or postal authority and you should
demand for a damage report

2.1.2 Warranty Regulations

Sartorius AG offers a warranty against malfunction of
the equipment, defective material and workmanship
according to the "General Terms and Conditions of
Business" and unless other terms were agreed upon in
writing. Date of reference is the date of delivery

The warranty will lapse if any modifications or
unauthorized repairs are performed on the unit by the
owner or third parties
•
Warranty is not granted for consumables and
disposables and defective parts due to wear and tear.
Nor is warranty granted for malfunctions or defects of
the equipment caused by incorrect operation, improper
handling, or normal wear and tear
With aggressive media you must check the resistance of
all parts.

2.1.3 Service

If malfunctions or damages occur, please contact your
dealer or your local Sartorius AG representative or

You may return defective equipment to Sartorius AG.
Sartorius AG or its duly employed representative will
perform any repairs according to the actual Conditions
for Inspection and Repair, which are available on
request.
Those apparatus sent to us for repair have to be in
hygienic perfect condition, clean and well packed. If
parts were polluted by media and media components,
they have to be cleaned, decontaminated, disinfected or
sterilised, according to the valid safety rules of this
particular application, e.g. for chemical or biological
safety.
The sender has to prove that he observed all safety
guidelines. For this purpose you have to fill in the
enclosed decontamination declaration and attach it to
the apparatus. No apparatus will be repaired without
declaration of decontamination or description of the
measures taken.
Transport damages or subsequent cleaning or
disinfection, if required, will be borne by the sender.
