8. Connection and installation
None of the connecting cables must be bent or squeezed. This can result in mal-
functions, short circuits and defects in the device. There should be no devices with
strong electrical fields such as mobile telephones, radios and electrical motors etc.

Ensure that the mains adapter is not connected to the LCD screen with digital
recorder during installation and connection and that the LCD screen with digital
recorder is switched off. Keep the system components away from vibrations.
The LCD screen with digital recorder, the remote control and the mains adapter are
intended for dry indoor use only.

8.2 Installation of an SATA hard disk
No SATA-hard disk is supplied with the device. It must be bought separately.
An SATA-hard disk with a storage capacity of up to 1 TB can be installed inside the casing of the LCD
screen with digital recorder.
To ensure proper installation, you need to remove the "hard disk slot cover" (27) first. The cover is
secured with 4 screws.
• Ensure that the mains adapter of the LCD screen with digital recorder is disconnected.
• Remove the "hard disk slot cover" (27) fastening screws.
• Carefully take off the cover.

The jumper shown in the left image can be used to
select PAL or NTSC as video format.
The respective jumper position is indicated on the
circuit board for the respective video format. To
reach the jumper, you need to remove the hard disk
holder at the rear. For this, remove the fastening
screws on the rear of the casing.
PAL is pre-set by default and is used for Europe and
Australia.
