• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foils/bags etc. can
become dangerous toys for children, there is risk of suffocation.
• If you have any reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the appliance immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible damage,
- the unit does not operate any longer and
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• The LCD screen with digital recorder, the remote control and the provided mains
adapter are intended for dry indoor use only.
• Only use the mains adapter included in delivery to power the LCD screen with dig-
ital recorder. The remote control must be powered with 2 x 1.5V micro batteries
(type AAA).
• Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been disconnected
from all power sources.
• The power unit may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands.
• Never pull on the power cable. Only unplug it by pulling the plug from the power
outlet.
• Ensure that the mains adapter is not connected to the LCD screen with digital
recorder when installing the SATA hard disc and that the LCD screen with digital
recorder is switched off.
• When installing/mounting the device, make sure that the connection cables are nei-
ther pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket in case of extended non-use.
• Always disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket before cleaning the
LCD screen with digital recorder.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket in case of
a thunderstorm.
• The product can be damaged by pressure, traction or when dropped even from a
low height.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. If necessary, disconnect the device
from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour fluids onto electrical devices. This would cause a serious danger of fire
or possibly fatal electric shock. If such a case does occur, disconnect the mains
adapter from the mains socket immediately and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustments and repairs may only be carried out by a qualified spe-
cialist or a specialised repair shop.
