Troubleshooting and fault elimination

Cause
Drive PLC has no supply voltage
No connection between PC and Drive PLC
PC system-bus module 2173IB has no supply
voltage
(LED on the PC system-bus module is OFF)
No terminating resistor (120 Ω ) in the system bus
PC system-bus module 2173IB was not initialised
Communication parameter is faulty
The system-bus module was disconnected from
the parallel port (LPT) of the PC during operation
A print job was sent to the interface/port used by
the system-bus module
Missing connection between X1/+24 and X1/O24
HIGH level of input signals is too low (<13 V)

Follow the switch-on sequence:
1. Plug the PC system-bus module 21731B into
LPT1 or LPTx
2. Switch on the PC
Set the communication parameter correctly
