OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

INSERTING BATTERIES

1. Open the battery compartment cover located in the bottom section (Fig. 1).
2. Insert 4 AAA batteries in the battery compartment, and replace the cover carefully.
Use alkaline batteries.
WEIGHING
1. Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal surface.
2. Push the ON/OFF/TARE (4) symbol to switch on the appliance.
3. If you need to reset the display reading (3), press the ON/OFF/TARE (4) symbol
once again.
4. Place the food or container with food you wish to weigh on the weighing surface
(1). Load the weighing surface (1) evenly, and do not put anything on the edges.
Otherwise, the weighing result might be inaccurate, and there would be the risk
of falling.
5. If you are making up the full weight, or need to eliminate the weight of the
vessel used (the tare function), push the ON/OFF/TARE (4) symbol to reset the
displayed value (3).
6. When the weighing is fi nished, switch the appliance off by pressing and holding
down the ON/OFF/TARE (4) symbol or the appliance will switch off automatically
after 30 seconds.

Press the UNIT symbol (2) to select weight units g, lb:oz., oz.
