Changing programme position
settings
The satellite channels shown in the enclosed pro-
gramme list (e.g. the TV channels of the Astra satel-
lites 1A, 1B, 1C and 1D) are already preset with the
associated audio channels. The favourite lists with
20 favourite programme positions each are preset
as indicated in the enclosed programme list.
It is of course possible to change the presettings
and to receive not preprogrammed satellite chan-
nels. For this, you must adjust the video and audio
settings for every programme position as follows.
You can change the following settings and perform
the following functions:
- Programme position name.
- Copy a programme position (by entering the pro-
gramme position number).
- LNC input (control via 22 kHz switching voltage or
DiSEqC signal).
- Satellite transmission frequency.
- Polarity (H: horizontal or V: vertical).
- Contrast
- Signal type (normal or inverted).
- Audio settings.
- RADIO mode (automatic picture switch-off).
- Lock control (parental lock).
- 16:9 picture format.
- Decoder type.
The current settings are displayed on the picture
screen.

wish to change.
!
It is not possible to select a programme position by
its number ("CH") in the menu. This is to avoid that
the settings made on the programme position
selected before are copied into the current pro-
gramme position.

5
Use the
c x
buttons to change the setting. The
transmission frequency can also directly be entered
with the numeric buttons.
The meaning of the individual settings is explained
in the following paragraphs.

6
Save the settings with the
O
button.
7
Press the
.
button twice to exit the menu.
Establishing a new programme position
The easiest way to do this is to select a programme
position with similar settings and to copy it in a free
programme position (see next section).
If you wish to receive a radio programme which
is associated with an already stored TV channel,
copy the TV programme position, change the audio
settings as required and declare the programme
position as radio programme (see "Radio" section).
!
Copying a programme position
1
Select the programme position to be copied before
opening the menu.
2
Open the "CHANNEL SETUP/TUNING" menu as
described above. The programme position number
(number from the NORMAL channel index) flashes.
3
Use the numeric buttons or the
buttons
x c
to enter the number of the programme position
(number from the NORMAL channel index) you
wish to copy to. This programme position will be
overwritten.
Save the entry with the
O
button.
Now you can change the settings to establish a new
programme.
Entering a new station name
The satellite channels in the enclosed programme
list are already preprogrammed with the required
settings and station names.
If you wish to change the station names or allocate
new names, proceed as follows.
Make sure that the correct programme position is
selected.
In the first menu line, the current station name is
indicated.
Use the ] | buttons to mark the first letter or
sign you wish to change or enter. The marked posi-
tion will flash.
The last programme positions in the NORMAL list
have no names and cannot be named.
Use the
buttons to change or enter the
c x
desired character.
– The digits 0, 1, ... 9, the + and – sign, and the let-
ters A, B, ... Y, Z as well as the blank are avail-
able.
– You can enter up to 10 characters for a station
name.
CHANNEL (copying settings)
Copy the programme position number if you wish
to assign the current video settings to another pro-
gramme position. The settings are saved as soon as
you press the
O
button (see also "Establishing a
new programme position" and "Copying a pro-
gramme position").
The old video settings of the current programme
position are overwritten.
Selecting the LNC
Depending on the selected LNC type (see section
"LNC setup" in the "Settings" chapter), the follo-
wing LNC settings are available: 1 A, 1 B, 2 A,
2 B and East and West (for the LNC type 4). LNC 1 A
and 1 B belong to the LNC 1 connection of the receiv-
er, 2 A and 2 B belong to LNC 2.
For details, consult the section "Settings/LNC
setup".
If the LNC type 2 with the option B is selected, a
22 kHz switching voltage is added to the LNC
voltage (e.g. for controlling a 22 kHz relay or a
multiswitch). If the LNC type 3 or 4 is selected, the
control is effected via a DiSEqC signal.
