When you switch between the channel indexes
using the
button on the remote control unit or

button on the receiver, all lists which are not

active are skipped.
If you wish to deactivate a channel index, select the
option "SET OFF".
The first 5 programme positions are displayed
together with
- the number in the favourites list,
- the programme position number in normal mode,
- the station name.

Use the | ] buttons to select a programme
position.
When you have selected the programme position 5
in the list and then press the | button, the next 5
programme positions are displayed, and so on.
Use the ] button to step back.

Selecting a favourite channel:
Use the
buttons to increase/decrease the

programme position number (in the normal list).
You can also use the numeric buttons to directly
enter the number.

Repeat the procedure until the 20 favourite program-
me positions are assigend to the satellite channels of
your choice.
If you select the programme position number "000"

in the normal list, the corresponding favourite
programme position is skipped. In this way, you
can "clear" a favourite programme position without

changing the remaining programme position
numbers.

Save your list by pressing the
O
button.

Exit the menu guide by pressing the

twice.
The audio index (choosing
alternative audio channels)
Each TV channel of a satellite is assigned to several
audio channels.
These are used by the satellite programme pro-
viders in different ways: for mono, stereo and
multi-channel sound of TV broadcasts and for radio
broadcasts.
For the satellite channels shown in the enclosed
programme list, the frequencies of the TV audio
channels are already preprogrammed.
For the transmissions broadcast on the different
video and audio channels, please consult your
satellite programme guide.
For stereo transmissions, two separate audio chan-
nels are required.
Use the yellow
¢
button to directly call up the
AUDIO
"AUDIO INDEX" for selecting the audio options.
In the receiver's display appears "INDEX".
The selected audio option remains active until you
select another programme position or you switch
the receiver to standby. How to permanently chan-
ge an audio option is explained in the chapter
"Changing Programme Position Settings".
Use the
buttons to toggle between the op-
x c
tions "MONO", "STEREO" and "CUSTOM".
The current option appears in the third menu line
and the digit 3 is flashing. Use the

buttons
or the ] | buttons to select another option. Use

the
button to switch to the next page. The first
menu line then is marked (the digit 1 is flashing).
With the "MONO" option, 8 preprogrammed set-
tings are available.

During stereo reception,
is visible in the
receiver's display. The left and right loudspeakers
are supplied via different sound channels. For
mono, only one sound channel is used;
is visi-
ble in the receiver's display.
With the "CUSTOM" option, 15 audio settings are
available which can be customized in the
INSTALL/CUSTOM AUDIO menu.

flashing.
If you press the | button within this delay, you
can select another radio station, for example SWF
3, instead of ARD.
– The digit 4 in the "4 7.38 7.56 PANDA " line is
flashing.
Customizing audio settings
Your receiver is already preprogrammed for most
of the available satellite channels (see enclosed pro-
gramme list). Preprogramming includes the audio
options for MONO and STEREO (see the paragraph
"Choosing alternative sound channels"). You can
customize 15 additional audio settings.
Press the
