Use the | (or ] ) button to select the next (or
preceding) menu item.
You have the choice between 4 LNC types.
The LNC Type 1 option is provided for a single LNC
with one oscillator frequency.
The LNC Type 2 option is provided for universal
LNCs. Through applying a 22 kHz switching signal,
the LNC can be switched between two frequency
ranges (A: signal off - lower frequency range,
B: signal on - upper frequency range). The 22 kHz
switching signal can also be used to switch be-
tween two LNCs by means of a relay or a multi-
switch. For the LNC frequencies which must be
entered in the menu, see the operating instructions
of the LNC.
LNC control by means of DiSEqC signals
With the options LNC Type 3 and 4, the so-called
DiSEqC signal (Digital Satellite Equipment Control)
is used for the digital LNC control. Condition for
this is that the aerial system is capable to process
the DiSEqC signal.
With the LNC Type 3 option, a universal (multi-
6
range) LNC can be switched between horizontal and
vertical signal polarization (H and V) and upper and
lower frequency range (A and B) by means of the
DiSEqC control signal. The two oscillator frequen-
!
cies (upper and lower LNC range ) must be entered
in the menu.
With the LNC Type 4 option, the DiSEqC control
signal is used to switch between two DUAL- or
QUATTRO-LNCs ("EAST" and "WEST"), horizontal
and vertical signal polarization (H and V), and upper
and lower frequency range (A and B). The upper
!
frequency range is also used for the 22 kHz swit-
ching signal. The two oscillator frequencies (upper
and lower LNC range for both LNCs) must be ente-
red in the menu.
The following table shows the pre-programming of
the STR 632 for the different satellites. If you wish
to connect the aerial in another way than indicated,
7
you must correct the LNC assignment for all pro-
gramme positions concerned.

For this reason, use the LNC 1 connection to re-
ceive Astra and the LNC 2 connection to receive
another pre-programmed satellite (see also chapter
„Multi-Satellite Reception").
How to select the LNC (e.g. 22 KHz switching vol-
tage on/off) for the programme position concerned
is explained in the paragraph "Establishing a new
programme position").
5
Use the
x c
buttons to select the desired LNC
type.
In the "POWER ON/OFF" menu item, you can switch
on and off the LNC power by means of the
x
or
c
button.
The "POWER OFF" option is required, for example,
for a single-cable solution with several connected
receivers.
The factory default setting is "POWER ON".
The LNC oscillator frequency is preset to 09.750
GHz. If you use a different LNC, change this value
correspondingly.
You can enter the LNC frequency as 5 digits with
the numeric buttons, or you can increase or
decrease the value step by step using the
x c
buttons.
When the station name RTL 2, for example,
appears in the receiver's display instead of the ZDF
channel actually tuned to, the set oscillator frequen-
cy does not correspond with the connected LNC. In
this case, the oscillator frequency must be changed
from 9.750 to 10.000.
When the frequency is off-tune, black or white lines
are produced on the picture.
Adjust the frequency back and forth to give the least
lines of either colour or to remove all the lines.
Increasing the LNC oscillator frequency decreases
the number of white lines and decreasing the
frequency eliminates the black lines.
If necessary, repeat this adjustment (6) for the
second LNC frequency.
Repeat this adjustments (5 and 6) for the LNC2.
Save the setting with the
O
button.
Press the
button twice to terminate the adjust-
.
ment.
It is necessary to select the correct LNC for
each programme position (see paragraph "Change
programme position settings/Selecting an LNC" in
the "Using the Receiver" chapter).
