To insert or replace the batteries
Open the battery cover on the back of the balance. Insert 6 x 1.5volt (AA) batteries.
Replace the battery cover. To preserve battery life, the balance switches off automatically after
2 minutes if no weighing has taken place.
Connect the power supply c
Connect the power supply (9V DC) at the rear of the balance. Then connect the power supply
to the power outlet.
Weighing
•
The balance is switched on by
pressing the "ON/TARE" key.
• The balance performs auto-
diagnostics (for 2 s) and then displays
"0.00".
•
If the weighing object is heavier than
the weighing range the display
indicates "EEEEE" (=Overload).
•
The balance is switched off by
pressing the "OFF" key once.

Important Notices

In case strong electromagnetic fields should
arise, high deviations of the indication are
possible. In such cases the balance must be
placed in another location.
Avoid high humidity, vapours and dust as the
balance is not hermetically closed. Do not let
the balance come into direct contact with
liquids as these could enter the measuring cell.

Taring
•
Switch the balance on with the ON key
and wait for "0.00" to appear on the
display. Position the tare load and
press the ON/TARE key.
• The balance display becomes "0.00".
•
The item to be weighed can now be
placed in the tare container and the
weight can be read off.
Therefore only clean the balance with a dry or
damp cloth. Do not use solvents as varnished
or plastic parts could be damaged. Always
position the item to be weighed gently. Avoid
any constant load on the weighing pan even
when out of use. Avoid shocks, thrusts and
harsh conditions by all means. Opening the
balance will cause the warranty to become
null and void.
