Windows Phone 7:
To see which channel the chest strap is currently
using, select the "Settings" menu on your Windows
Phone 7, followed by "Heart Rate Settings", "Sen-
sor channel". If a coded channel is being used, a
number is displayed. If the uncoded channel is being
used, "uncoded" is displayed. To switch channels,
press the button on the chest strap as detailed above
to change the channel and then re-select "Connect
chest strap"; your smartphone will then re-connect
to the chest strap on the new channel.
NOTE
Advantage of coded transmission:
Transmission between the chest strap and the re-
ceiver is coded, which reduces the likelihood of
the transmission being interrupted by interference
factors, such as another person's chest strap.
Advantage of uncoded transmission:
The transmission between the chest strap and the
receiver is effected on a frequency that can be re-
ceived by the majority of fitness devices, allowing
the chest strap to be used with a range of other
equipment such as a treadmill or crosstrainer.
