3.3 Installation
Before assembly the following necessary conditions are to be created:
1.
A suitable electrical power supply (see technical data or the name
plate), safeguarded by a fuse with approx. five-times the rated
current.
2.
Sufficient space for installation (i.e. the function of the motor is
not affected by the place of installation).
3.
The surrounding temperature is not higher than 50°C
Please observe the following during installation:
1.
That the surface around the support area is clean.
2.
That the screw connections are equally tightened.
3.
That you check the support areas after tightening.
4.
That you use the intended torque as per the operator specifica-
tions.
5.
Where necessary you use safety devices to prevent the connec-
tions loosening.
Order of installation:
1.
Screw the synchronous motor on the flange of the machine.
2.
Connect the drive shaft with the system/machine.
WARNING!
If these guidelines are not observed the drive may be dama-
ged or destroyed. In particular if the drive falls to the ground
or there is impact on the output shaft this could destroy the
drive.
