Restarting and troubleshooting
If a residual current device is tripped, e.g. due to a damaged charging cable, this must only be
checked and then manually re-set by authorised personnel.
Repairs may only be carried out by authorised personnel e.g. the BMW i Wallbox Installation
Service.
The Wallbox Pro can be reset to its factory settings via the Installation menu. Repairs may only
be carried out by authorised personnel e.g. the BMW i Wallbox Installation Service.
Performing a restart
Proceed as follows when you need to shut down or restart the Wallbox Pro, e.g. to rest an error:
1. Stop the charging process.
2. Disconnect the charging cable from the car inlet.
3. Place the charging cable plug back into the holder.
4. Switch off the circuit breaker in the circuit breaker box that is used for the power supply of the
Wallbox Pro.
5. After 10 seconds, switch the circuit breaker back on.
6. If necessary, re-set the time. Time and date, see Wallbox Pro owner's manual.
After the restart, the following window will be displayed:

Installation Menu
The window will close after two minutes to protect the Installation menu from unauthorised
use. The display switches to the Profile Selection window if only one user with two different
profiles has been created. If several users have been created, the User Selection window is
displayed. If only one user without a PIN code query has been created, the Overview window
will open.
If only one user with two different profiles has been created, the Profile Selection window will open
after two minutes or you can simply press "Continue". If several users have been created, the User
Selection window is displayed. If only one user without a PIN code query has been created, the
Overview window will open.
