Data storage

Several electronic components in your Wallbox Pro contain data storage units that either temporarily or
permanently save technical information regarding status, results and errors, as well as charging history.
This technical information documents the general status of the component, module, system or the
environment:
Operating statuses of system components, e.g. the active connection to an energy meter.
Status messages from the Wallbox Pro and its individual components, e.g. the current amount of
energy being charged.
Malfunctions and defects in important system components, e.g. the electronics module.
Responses from the Wallbox Pro in special charging situations, e.g. intervention by the Load
Management system in order to dynamically adjust the charging current.
These data are of a technical nature and are used to detect and remedy errors, optimise functions, as
well as, e.g. document charging data for company cars for accounting purposes.
The information obtained regarding the charging history is saved for up to 12 months while detected
malfunctions are continually overwritten.
Charging history and information regarding Wallbox Pro malfunctions can also be sent via e-mail to
an e-mail address provided by the customer, e.g. to the service provider involved with the electricity
invoicing, cooperation partners of BMW i, etc. as long as they are available in the country or place of
residence of the customer.
The customer must initiate the sending of an e-mail in the Settings menu of the Wallbox Pro. It is not
sent automatically.
