TROUBLESHOOTING

Trouble
The engine does not start with the ignition
key.
The engine stops during operation.
The machine collects little debris/dust.
When pressing the forward/reverse gear
pedal, the machine does not move, or it
moves slowly.
The hopper does not lift.
The hopper does not dump.
The hopper does not lower.
The brooms do not turn correctly.
When the engine compartment hood (13) is
lifted, the engine keeps running.

Possible cause
The hood (13) is not properly closed.
The engine oil level is too low.
The machine has run out of fuel.
The fuel does not reach the carburettor.
The spark plug does not produce a spark.
The engine oil level is too low.
The machine is running out of fuel.
The fuel fi lter is dirty.
The dust fi lter is clogged.
The hopper is full.
The skirts are not integral or not properly
adjusted.
The broom height is not properly adjusted.
The parking brake is engaged.
The engine is not running at working speed
(MAX).
The hydraulic system oil level is incorrect.
The centrifugal pulley does not operate
properly.
The forward/reverse gear pedal is not properly
adjusted.
The hydraulic system oil level is incorrect.
The electric control connectors are
disconnected.
The hopper is not lifted enough.
The electric control connectors are
disconnected.
The hopper has not returned to horizontal
position.
In case of particular weather conditions, the
hydraulic system oil is slow in fl owing through
the safety valve.
The broom belt are not properly tensioned.
The centrifugal pulley does not engage.
The hood safety microswitch does not work.

USER MANUAL
Close the hood properly.
Check that the engine oil level is within the
limits (*).
Check that there is fuel in the tank (30).
Check that the fuel reaches the carburettor
and that the fuel fi lter is clean. (*)
Check that the spark plug produces a spark.

Check that the engine oil level is within the
limits (*).
Check that there is fuel in the tank (30).
Clean the fuel fi lter. (*)
Clean the dust fi lter.
Empty the hopper (4).
Check the skirts (16, 17, 18, 19) for integrity
and proper adjustment.
Adjust the height of the brooms (10, 11, 12).
Check that the parking brake (84 and 76) has
been released.
Check that the throttle lever (77) is turned to
MAX (working speed).
Check the hydraulic system oil level in the tank
(28).
Check that the centrifugal pulley (petrol
engine-drive pump coupling joint) operates
properly. (**)
Adjust the forward/reverse gear pedal. (**)
Check the hydraulic system oil level in the tank
(41).
Connect the electric control connectors. (**)
Lift the hopper over 300 mm.
Connect the electric control connectors. (**)
Turn the hopper to horizontal position.
Wait a few moments to let the hydraulic
system oil fl ow.
Adjust the belt tension. (**)
Turn the throttle lever (77) to MAX (working
speed), and check that the centrifugal pulley
engages.
Repair the microswitch. (**)
