ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK

1.
Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.
Engage the parking brake with the pedal (84) and the lever (76).
3.
Turn the ignition key (69) to "0".
4.
Open the hood (23) and secure it with the support rod (55).
5.
Remove the screws (45), then disengage the fasteners (46) to remove the engine guard (44).
6.
Remove the engine oil level dipstick (34) and clean it with a clean cloth. Insert the dipstick (34), take it out after a few seconds,
and check that the oil level is between the MIN (minimum level) and MAX (maximum level) marks (A, Fig. 27).
If the oil level is lower than the minimum mark (MIN), remove the fi ller plug (35) and top up.
CAUTION!
Top up using the same type of oil as that in the engine.
7.
Install the fi ller plug (35) and check the oil level as shown in the previous steps.
Insert the dipstick (34).
8.
Perform steps 4 and 5 in the reverse order.

ENGINE OIL CHANGE

CAUTION!
It is advisable to change the oil when the engine is still hot, to make the oil downfl ow easier.
1.
Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.
Engage the parking brake with the pedal (84) and the lever (76).
3.
Turn the ignition key (69) to "0".
4.
Remove the screws (48), then disengage the fasteners (49) to remove the left side bulkhead (47).
5.
Open the hood (23) and secure it with the support rod (55).
6.
Remove the screws (45), then disengage the fasteners (46) to remove the engine guard (44).
7.
Remove the engine oil level dipstick (34) and clean it with a clean cloth.
8.
Disconnect the engine oil drain hose (40) from the fastener (50) and lower it to drain the engine oil into an appropriate
container.
9.
Loosen the clamp (39), remove the engine oil drain plug (38) and let the engine oil drain into the container.
CAUTION!
The discharged engine oil must be disposed of properly according to the Law in force.
10.
Install the plug (38) and fasten it with the clamp (39).
11.
Lift the hose (40) and fi x it with the fastener (50).
12.
Remove the fi ller plug (35).
13.
Top up with new oil through the fi ller (35).
NOTE
As for engine oil type and quantity, see the Technical Data chapter and the Petrol Engine Manual.
14.
Install the fi ller plug (35).
15.
Insert the dipstick (34), take it out after a few seconds, and check that the oil level is between the MIN (minimum level) and
MAX (maximum level) marks (A, Fig. 27). If necessary top up. Insert the dipstick (34).
16.
Perform steps 4 to 6 in the reverse order.
