Danger!
Follow the instructions in Chapter 4.1 on where and where not to set up
the appliance. Failure to do so may result in fire damage to buildings or
objects and personal injury from burns.
Danger!
Never immerse the Raclette2+ or the electric lead in water and never aim
an open water jet at it. There is a risk of an electric shock.
Caution!
Do not use the Raclette2+ unprotected outdoors. Wetness and damp can
cause malfunction and there is a risk of an electric shock.

4.1. Where and where not to set it up

Set the Raclette2+ up on a stable base that must be horizontal.
Do not put the Raclette2+ next to or on top of hot surfaces (heaters, hotplates, bur-
ners or other sources of heat). There is a risk of fire or short circuit!
Do not put the Raclette2+ on or against inflammable materials!
Make sure that neither the mains supply lead (13), nor the connecting lead (14) or any
extension lead used crosses hot surfaces such as hotplates or burners. There is a risk
of fire or short circuit!
Make sure that neither the mains supply lead (13), nor the connecting lead (14) or any
extension lead used crosses sharp edges or is caught elsewhere. The leads might be-
come damaged and there is a risk of electric shock and short circuit!
Make sure that the mains supply lead (13) and any extension lead used run from the
socket to the appliance in such a way that nobody can trip over them or inadvertently
become caught up in them. The appliance or other hot parts could be pulled off the
table. There is a risk of fire or injury.

4.2. Before using for the first time

Before using for the first time, clean the aluminium griddle (1) or the Hot Stone (15), the
pans (11) and the scrapers (12) under warm running water with a non-scouring spon-
ge and a little washing-up liquid.
The Hot Stone (15) is available as an optional extra.
The stone is a natural product and therefore has stresses that may cause cracks or
even a break when subjected to rapid changes in temperature. In order to substantial-
ly prevent this, the single procedure described below for relieving this stress is absolu-
tely essential for the stone's stability. Minor cracks may still appear during the proce-
dure or subsequent use that have no adverse effect whatsoever on the stone's func-
tion. Small cracks are therefore excluded from the warranty. Your stone may change
colour during this process.
