3. Important safety instructions

Although the Raclette2+ features a high standard of quality and safety, if wrongly ope-
rated or improperly used personal injury or material damage cannot be excluded. You
are therefore asked to heed the safety instructions marked with the following symbols:
Danger!
Failure to heed this instruction may result in permanent personal injury
and/or major material damage.
Caution!
Failure to heed this instruction may result in slight to moderate personal
injury and/or material damage.

3.1. General safety instructions

Danger!
Keep the Raclette2+ clean at all times. Make sure that you follow the cor-
responding instructions on cleaning in Chapter 7, the set-up instructions in
Chapter 4.1 and statutory hygiene regulations. Failure to do so may cause
slight to severe personal injury.

4. Starting the Raclette Grill up

Danger!
Mains voltage! The Raclette2+ must not be handled above and beyond
normal operation unless the appliance is disconnected. It is imperative that
you first pull the mains plug out of the socket. Risk of electric shock!
Danger!
A damaged mains lead is extremely dangerous and must be replaced
immediately. Insert the mains plug only into a socket with a ground wire.
The protective effect must not be negated by using an extension lead with-
out a ground wire.
Danger!
Never insert metal objets or other objects that conduct electricity into the
contact gaps of the mains output socket (16) of the basic or extension
module. There is a risk of an electric shock.
