Installing the hoses and connection
cables
!
Always hold the trolley by both handles (fig. 2, item
13) when pushing it. When working on the vehicle,
secure the trolley with the parking brakes (fig. 1,
item 7) .
1. Guide the two PVC hoses (1.4 m) through the ope-
ning for cables and hoses (fig. 2, item 5, 14).
2. Connect the two PVC hoses to the measurement gas
and condensate outlets on the BEA 065 (see opera-
ting instructions 1 689 989 258) (fig. 2, item 4).
3. Direct the two PVC hoses on the side of the trolley
downward and guide them through the opening on
the bottom of the trolley (fig. 2, item 11). The two
ends of the PVC hoses should be about 2 cm below
the bottom of the trolley.
4. Secure the two PVC hoses to the trolley with three
cable ties (fig. 2, item 9).
5. Pull the hose (1 680 703 043; 8 m) through the ope-
nings for cables and hoses (fig. 2, items 5 and 14).
6. Connect the hose (1 680 703 043) to the measu-
rement gas input on the BEA 065 (see operating
instructions for BEA 065) (fig. 2, item 3).
7. Connect the coarse filter (fig. 2, item 10) between
the hose (1 680 703 043) and the hose for the ex-
haust gas sampling probe (fig. 2, item 12).
8. Pull the connection cable B+/B– (1 684 463 949)
and connection cable for the cigarette lighter socket
(1 684 463 948) through the openings for cables
and hoses (fig. 2, items 5 and 14).
9. Attach the connection cable B+/B– (fig. 2, item 1)
to the BEA 065 (see operating instructions for BEA
065).
i
Only one of the connection cables, either the con-
nection cable B+/B– or the connection cable for
the cigarette lighter socket (fig. 2, item 7), can be
connected to the BEA 065.
10. Secure the two connection cables to the trolley with
a cable tie (fig. 2, item 6).
11. Perform the initial commissioning of the BEA 070 as
described in the operating instructions.

Switching on/off

!
To prevent the formation of condensation, allow the
BEA 750 to adjust to ambient temperature before
switching on the BEA 750. The power supply cables
for the BEA 065 and BEA 070 must never be allowed
to come into contact with water.
The voltage supply is provided by the mains voltage
system. The BEA 750 is factory-set to 220 V – 240 V,
50/60 Hz. Observe the relevant data on the label on the
side of the BEA 065.
!
Before starting up, make sure that the voltage of the
lighting mains matches the voltage of the BEA 065.
Protect the BEA 750 by means of a ground fault
interrupter (GFI).
The BEA 750 is switched on and off by means of the
BEA 065 (see operating instructions BEA 065).
4.4
BEA 065
All information on the gasoline exhaust gas measure-
ment module BEA 065 (e. g. device description, infor-
mation on operation, maintenance, technical data) is
contained in the provided operating instructions.
i
The BEA software is already installed on the
BEA 065 and the exhaust gas measurements can
commence immediately after initial commissioning
of the BEA 750.
4.5
BEA 070
All information on the diesel exhaust gas measurement
module BEA 070 (e. g. device description, information
on operation, maintenance, technical data) is contained
in the provided operating instructions.
i
The appropriate Bluetooth MAC address of the
BEA 070 is configured in the BEA software at the
factory under "Settings >> Device Configuration".
