3.4 Getting up / going to bed
CAUTION
In case you cannot perform the transfer in a safe manner, ask someone to assist you.
Going to bed
1. Check whether the brakes of the castor wheels (10) are applied, see Figure 3.
2. Adjust the height of the bed with the handset; with button (b), see Figure 4.
3. Fold side rail (3): pull the black, spherical knob (17) to unlock the side rail and fold the
rail down.
4. Position you as close as possible to
the bed.
5. Transfer to the bed. Use the lifting pole
with trapeze handle (2) to help move
yourself on the bed.
6. Unfold the side rail (3): pull the rail up
till its locked.
Getting up from the bed
1. Use button (a) of the handset to lower
the head section till it is completely
down, see Figure 4.
2. Use button (c) to lower the knee-bend
system completely (if electric
operated).
3. Use strap (12) to lower the leg section,
see §3.5.
4. Fold the side rail (3): pull the black,
spherical knob (17) to unlock the side
rail and fold the rail down.
5. Adjust the height of the bed with button
(b) on the handset; see Figure 4.
6. Turn yourself to sitting positions with
your legs outside the bed. To move
yourself on the bed, use the lifting pole with trapeze handle (2).
7. Transfer out of the bed.
