6.2 - "Obstacle detection" function
In general the tubular motors in the "Max" range, though
guaranteeing a maximum continuous use interval of 4
minutes, are designed for residential use and therefore
intended for a discontinuous use. Therefore, in the event
of overheating (for example due to continuous and pro-
longed activation) a thermal cut-out protection trips to
shut off power supply and restore operating conditions
only when the temperature returns to normal values.
6.3 - "Auto-update of limit positions" function
CAUTION! – This function is enabled only if the limit
switch has been programmed in "Automatic mode" or
"Semi-automatic mode".
During daily use of the automation, the shutter can be
heard on impact with the limit switch at the end of a
manoeuvre. In these cases, impact is due to the "Auto-
update of limit positions" function that repeats meas-
urement of the parameters of the two limit positions and
updates the previously memorised values.
The aim of this function is to compensate over time for
extensions or shrinkage of the structure due to wear and
temperature variations, thus enabling the Up and Down
movements to be completed with constant precision at
the respective limit positions.

❑ The system sensitivity to obstacle detection is
reduced:
– Clean the guides of the shutter to remove any im -
perfections and improve shutter movement.
– Eliminate any mechanical blockages.
– Secure the motor and shutter to reduce possible
oscillations and system vibrations.
❑ The system operates in emergency "hold-to-run"
conditions:
– Check that the motor is not subject to a significant
electric or mechanical shock.
– Check that all motor parts are intact.
– Repeat the installation procedure.
❑ The system sensitivity to obstacle detection is too
high:
– Continue to press the same pushbutton to com-
plete the manoeuvre.
– Perform two complete opening and closing cycles.

As for the installation, the disposal operations at the end
of the product's effective life must be performed by quali-
fied personnel.
