15. Storage

● Only store fan horizontally in a suitable,
dry room: ambient temperature
- 10 to + 60 °C.
● Before installing, check that the motor
bearing is working properly.
● Maico accepts no liability for corrosion
damage caused by improper storage,
e.g. storage in a damp room.

16. Mounting

16.1 Unit information

● Air flow and rotational direction ( page 2,
Fig. B) are marked on the wall sleeve
using arrows:
1 = Air flow direction with air drawn across
the motor
2 = Rotational direction of impeller
● Fans for recessed installation, any
installation position.
● Fans for ventilation, with air drawn hori-
zontally. Units with horizontal air outlet on
request.
● The fans are speed controllable.
● The fans are reversible. Exception
EZF .. E-fans with shaded-pole motor.
● On/Off with switch which is to be provided
by the customer.
● EZF .. B are single-phase AC fans with
capacitor motor (capacitor on internal grille
or wall sleeve).
● EZF .. D are single-phase AC fans with
capacitor motor (capacitor ready for
connection in the connection area).
● The connections on DZF fans are
potential-free terminal connections. DZF ..
must be connected to an external control
device with automatic self-holding switch-
off. Recommendation: Install MAICO
motor protection switch MV 25 or
contactor control with self-holding function.
