Inserting the batteries

The batteries only serve to provide the phone memory with energy in the event of a
power failure and, thus, retain the content of the phone memory. The telephone can be
operated with no batteries installed without any restrictions.
The battery compartment is located on the underside of the telephone (the base unit).
Open the battery compartment and insert two AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries in the upper
compartment. Pay attention to the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment cov­
er.
