a telephone connection cable

Inserting batteries (not included in material supplied)

Before connecting the answering machine to the telephone network, insert a new 9 V battery. In the

As soon as the \ icon appears in the display, the battery is empty and must be replaced.
Pay attention that the answering machine is not connected to the telephone network at this point.
1. Use a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the underside.
2. Connect the battery plug to the battery and insert the battery in the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.

Connecting the telephone line and power adapter plug

1. Insert the small plug on the power adapter plug cable in the corresponding socket on the rear
side of the answering machine.
2. Insert the small plug on the telephone connection cable in the corresponding socket on the rear
side of the answering machine.
3. Plug the power adapter plug in a properly installed 230 Volt power outlet.
4. Connect the telephone connection cable supplied in the telephone line jack.
When switched on for the first time, the new answering machine requires approx. 20 se-
conds to initialize all the functions. After the first initialization, the message LCD KON-
TRAST appears in the display.

Setting the language

There is a sliding switch (FRE/GER) on the rear side of the answering machine. You can choose the
